Role Overview
EIR Labour Hire is seeking trade-qualified Carpenters for formwork, framing and fitout roles.
Where?
Active construction sites across South Australia - including residential builds, modular construction projects, commercial fitouts and mining accommodation projects.
How Much?
$45 per hour + super + overtime depending on experience and tickets. FIFO roles include site allowances. EBA rates available on selected projects.
What Will I Be Doing?
Your day-to-day will include:
- Installing sheet flooring
- Erecting lightweight steel wall frames and roof trusses
- Installing windows, doors and sheet metal roof cladding
- Constructing eaves, stairs, ramps and structural carpentry components
- Installing external wall claddings, linings, panelling and mouldings
- Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and site drawings
- Setting out buildings and establishing building levels from datum points
- Carrying out measurements and calculations
- Using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Undertaking refurbishments, reworks and maintenance carpentry
- Closing out defect and punch list items before and after inspections
- Erecting and dismantling scaffolding where required
- Assisting trades, apprentices and labourers onsite
- Coordinating workflow with supervisors and project managers
- Maintaining safe work practices and following all WHS requirements
- Ensuring materials, tools and equipment are onsite and maintained correctly
When?
Hours: Monday to Friday with 7am starts, plus overtime and weekend work available depending on project requirements. FIFO rosters available for remote projects.
Start date: Immediate starts available.

Supervisors are trade-qualified, site-focused and committed to delivering projects safely and efficiently. What Do I Need?
- Trade qualification in Carpentry or relevant construction experience
- Experience reading plans and specifications
- White Card
- Driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Strong understanding of WHS requirements onsite
- Experience with hand and power tools
- Own tools (inquire for list)
