Where?
Iron Duke Mine Site, Whyalla SA. DIDO role with all travel hours paid and accommodation provided. Easy 2-day shutdown work with both day and night shift opportunities available.
How Much?
$65.00 per hour (flat rate) + meals provided+ all travel hours paid + accommodation provided.
What Will I Be Doing?
Your day-to-day will include:
- Mechanical fitting and maintenance work on fixed plant equipment
- Shutdown and breakdown maintenance activities
- Replacing, repairing and inspecting mechanical components
- Working safely in a mining environment
- Using hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Following site procedures, permits and safety requirements
- Working closely with supervisors and other trades on site
When?
Dates: 07/08/2026 - 08/08/2026
Shifts available:
- Day Shift
- Night Shift
Short-term 2-day DIDO assignment with immediate start requirements.

What Do I Need?
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
- Ability to pass site medical and drug & alcohol testing if required
- Previous shutdown, mining or fixed plant experience highly regarded
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
