Food, beverage and tobacco production workers through EIR in SA cost between $45.35/hr (Level 1) and $53.53/hr (Level 6) ex-GST at standard time. SA rates are slightly lower than QLD due to SA's payroll tax structure.

Why are SA food manufacturing rates lower than QLD?

SA and QLD rates differ marginally because of different state payroll tax rates (SA 4.95%, QLD 4.75%) and workers' compensation premium scales. The base federal Award wage is identical — only the on-cost loading differs.
